Forgot to post it here but there will be new Ltd Stabilized VCs going up tomorrow…
Looks like a dx220 sucessor is coming
Also here is the first look/tease at the new 64audio iem… The Duo. Still no details on what it is but it’s been speculated to be planar in nature and supposedly launch later this month. We should get more info very soon.
There’s also a new dx300 max that I think can be pretty excellent, hope that’s solid when it comes out, really enjoyed the dx220 max
I’ve seen a few on the used market already, they go quite fast since they’ve only made like 500 of them, they’ve already announced a “Ti” model too
can’t tell if this one is portable but assuming it isn’t, still neat
Wow, I checked the headphones section and, well, they look interesting. haha
Makes the Abyss look normal.
Yeah really funky stuff lol, they are more known for portable electronics (honestly who needs a portable battery powered speaker amp or phono pre, but they’ve done that lol)
Wait, did you get a chance to listen to their hps?
No, only tried a few of their portables
Lol. 7W tube would be legendary as a portable. Sure it would weight like 25lbs though
Edit: desktop with a built in dac. 16x10x7 in and 25lbs. Tge 7W figure is at 8 ohm
Not the biggest fan of Moondrop but they came out w/ a new IEM…
Two new yggy variants

New paw dongle
Will be interesting to see how it stacks up to the W2. If it performs similarly with less power consumption, it could be a nice alternative.
I’m tempted to grab one and see when they actually are for sale somewhere
I’m curious as well. The S1 was solid. The clip should be a nice addition for functionality purposes and the fact that you can control playback will make a difference in every day use as well. I think combined that actually will make this a much better portable experience.
I’m actually looking at the possibility of a portable Bluetooth DAC now for a couple use cases. 1 being on-the-go, the other being running line out into my home theater receiver so I can control playback from my phone and not have to leave it over on the console. Waiting to see what comes out with the new Bluetooth lossless capability and how well that works in practice.
Best BT I’ve ever heard was P6 Pro
But realy, when talking your home setup, this seems prime real-estate for either a streamer with an app (or just a pi roon endpoint) or a BT receiver with digital out. Any reason you want to avoid those options?
Weird thing to do from Schiit IMO on this announcement. They’ve got a Yggy that measures well, one they say testers said sounds best, but they still prefer their OG Yggy…
Seems like they’re playing the field in the DAC space in case supplies run short, because I see no other reason to do what they’re doing.
Would love to hear peeps thoughts.

I was looking forward to an A3 as and update for the OG A2, not really expecting 2 new editions. I think I would have bought one, as I skipped over the yggy and would still like to hear one. I think that I would like it. Now, I’m not so sure. If I’m not mistaken it looks like the raised they price on the OG $100 to 2599. I’m pretty sure it was $2499 a while back when I was deciding on the Spring3 or not. I could be wrong - I was looking at several pieces and going back and forth at the time.
It does seem that they are playing the field and covering bases, or just throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks. I suppose when you are a small company DIY market research is something you have to do to survive and keep spending down.
