My home theater source gear is lagging behind most of my other audio because I donāt use it for music listening as often as my other stuff. So Iām looking to avoid the DAC in my AVR and my TV, hence wanting something with line out from a Bluetooth DAC.
I havenāt looked into the world of streamers much yet but I have been curious. I may start digging there as well.
The image that SA posted about it on Hfg makes it sound pretty interesting, going for similar tuning to the Trio but smoother tonality and more sub bass
May be something that I look at picking up new since that price isnāt too bad to here
yes. although it seems to not be openback like how we think of headphones. According to people who have them in for early review period, it still isolates somewhat (-12db i believe is the spec) and apparently sound leakage is not as bad as you would think. It seems the open back nature of the set lends a more open sounding stage and presentation which is pretty cool.
Iām actually really interested in trying a set of these. Pretty unique among their lineup and unlike the u6t which is not worth the price as you can get trio and u12t for close to the same amount of cash secondhand, this actually has a place being their cheapest iem with a DD implementation.
Very interested in these also as I tend to have discomfort from pressure buildup when I wear IEMs too long. If these solve that and end up around $700-$800 on the used market in a year or so then I might be looking at a pair. New cable looks pretty nice too.
They are touting it as a ānew premium cableā. No clue how it compares to their older ones though which Iāve heard have a reputation for being basically disposable. Lol
