It does look nice, though I hear that comfort may be an issue. Apparently Mezeās āwingedā headband is the secret sauce when it comes to their comfort. The LIRIC being marketed as a portable doesnāt use the Empy/Elite headband (as shown).
Maybe theyāll release a closed back Empy/Elite down the road.

Iām not a big Meze fan and I didnāt think highly of it honestly.
That being said, if you look at the closed back planars around the price (there arenāt many), it probably fits in the market.
The biggest thing I was impressed by was the imaging. The imaging was fantastic. Everything elseā¦ wasnāt.

Thatās what I was guessing as well. Never personally have been impressed by any of the meze offerings in sound (so donāt have high expectations for the new one lol), but when you now compete with closed backs it might suddenly become a more compelling option

They could have made a much more decorative or textured cup for those Meze and still had their corners cut.
