Not blaming Final specifically here for the pricing. At the last CAF show, I noticed that pricing for high end gear is next level pricing. Not only the usual suspects that you know historically have had astronomical pricing for gear, but vendors that cut their teeth in the $5K for an amp region now charging $20K for an amp. There were many many rooms with individual components priced at over $50k.
Itās always been an expensive hobby, but the manufacturers are clearly banking on selling to the stratosphere of buyers. Now, whether thatās a marketing move so they can move cheaper gear or a business move knowing they know they can sell to the top 1%, I canāt say.
Regardless, itās bad timing, even if they do have a little bit of disposable income, people are not spending.
Idk how new this is but I just saw an ad for their collaboration with roon. I like the ideaā¦ but only if it had the artists I actually listen to lol

Saw this recently. Really excited to see what they do with this ES Lab Integrated Amp. Itās supposedly an headphone amp and an estat headphone amp. I think I saw someone post that you can bypass the preamp section and use it as a power amp like the TEAC HA-507 amp.

I think Iām gonna order one to use with my pixel 10 pro xl for ultra portable listening. Looks pretty interesting and different from the hundreds of other dongle amp/dacs out there.
