Looks like they call their new headphone āJoalā and the sound they describe it as āmaster tape soundā. Price wise, it seems to be cheaper than the last 2 new one since this one is around $1895.

Yeah, they described it as smooth, open, and has low end. Weāll see. I typically like their house sound. Havenāt hated any of their headphones. Prices are sometimes a bit higher than performance but US made and I buy used 90% of the time.
Very cool design imo. I like them and nice change up from the Diana looks.

I agree the cup design is much better looking IMHO.
As a big Abyss fan, what are your impressions on the headphoneās fit? It looks like it wouldnt have the clamp of a more traditional band and would want to move a bunch or slip off.
Tuning wise i know some said diannas had shades of old Audeze PFs, by the wording i wonder if there is more of that. I keep the LCD-2.2s around as nothing is close to its sound, but i dont use them often as there is a big step down from the modern high end offerings.

I love the fit of the Diana. Damn near disappears on my head. And with the new suspension strap itās even better imo. DZ was really nice. I didnāt have a terrible time with the Dianas without the strap. I did like to add the small additional pads tho before the strap.
The concern with this price point at 1.9k is MRs go for around that or less used. And I canāt imagine the joal is better or close. Maybe different and cheaper/more efficient build process.
And saying itās like having the master tape is silly. Joe needs to cut with that shit lol. Guaranteed his kids hated that move.

Now thisā¦ is freaking insane. I love Orchard Audio because their class D power amp is such a beast in my setup. It looks like they are making a headphone amp now but with a unique twist. ITS A FREAKING POWER AMP, but I guess for headphones. There is no volume control and it only has balance inputs and outputs. But, if itās anything like their power amp, I have really high hopes for this. Its also a good time on release for me because I was thinking of buying a SS headphone amp to run my DCA Stealth for a quick 30 minute - 1 hour session so I donāt have to burn tubes for a quick session. But now, I gotta find a SS preamp to go along with itā¦ But another side of me is really curious about bringing my 2 channel setup, Supratek Preamp + Orchard Audio Amp, and how it will translate to my current headphone gears, especially the Mysphere 3.2ā¦ I am getting goosebumps!
It also looks like you cannot access their web page for this headphone amp for it until Feb 14th. They say this will be at CanJam NY, so I am looking forward to peopleās impression of it before I hit that preorder buttonā¦ But I think I might still impulse buy this since the preorder got a nice discount on it.

I was reading about this on the āTung Talkā Telegram chat, where thereās a lot of buzz around it specifically for the Tungsten.
Of course you can use it for anything you want, but from what I was reading it was designed at least in part to be an āidealā amp for the Tungsten headphone. It seems really interesting, and would certainly light up your Stealth. If you get one let us know.

Yep, and I loved Ryan review on it as well. It pretty much answered all my requirement I am looking for on a SS amp, which is the ability to drive hard to drive headphones like the Tungsten or my case the DCA Stealth while still having the ability to drive sensitive things like iem without too much noise floor.

The Poet seems interesting. I looked at the main website and it said to use DCA AMTS Technology. So Iām wondering if the highs is going to be similar to DCA Headphones, which I really like.

F. I knew i forgot to check something out at Can Jam. Looking through the show guide i just realized Grado was there with their new headphones.
Iām guessing it wonāt be an R2R like the Harmony, more like something with ESS if I had to guess.

It was open this morning! I guess they received multiple requests/purchases? I saw a picture, and I believe I saw two gold-like RAM modules similar to the Harmonic, but I canāt confirm that since itās locked now
