Anyone notice IKM launched three new iLoud studio monitors late last year?

Just wireless stuff  , unless thereā€™s another surprise in store.

ā€œIā€™m in the consumer hearing businessā€. As the audio is blown out to the stratosphere and the video feed is all fucky. This is quite the gem of a stream so far.

**Finally fixed it  :person_shrugging:

Oh goodness.

Stream audio was horrible lmao. For those who donā€™t want to subject their left ear to harm hereā€™s a quick recap. TBH itā€™s kinda as expected for CES, just yearly refreshes of their momentum headphones and TWS lineup now with added software features that will probably lose support as soon as the new ones release lol. Also a new sport TWS.

Thatā€™s basically all the hardware releases, everything else was about software/features and their new partnership with Polar for biometric tracking while using their sport TWS.

Annnd thatā€™s it. Who knows, maybe theyā€™ll release something out of nowhere in the head-fi/hifi space this year like they did with the HD660S2, but my hopes arenā€™t high. Anyways, hopes this helps anyone curious and save yourself 40 minutes of pain.

EDIT: LMAO they privated it, I guess they finally watched it themselves haha.

Haha, I spotted you in the YT chat.

Even with the leaked articles available, I also wasnā€™t expecting miracles, but WOW was that easily the worst livestream Iā€™ve watched.

Wowzers, look at all the sonic improvements they tout in the new design! :slightly_smiling_face:

Nucleus Titan features include:

  • Precision-machined billet aluminum enclosure crafted from a solid block of premium metal.
  • Stunning aesthetics, designed for display and admiration.
  • Available in three elemental shell finishes: metal, stone* (composite), and wood.
  • Elegant self-cooling design with silent, fan-less operation.
  • Customizable internal solid state storage: 2, 4, or 8 TB options.
  • Upgraded connectivity: two USB-C, two USB-A, and two audio-only HDMI ports.
  • Accommodates the most voluminous music libraries and multi-zone audio configurations.
  • Exterior design echoes Roonā€™s music discovery features and the eclectic nature of music collections.
  • Nucleus Titan is the only premium server/streamer designed specifically for Roon by the team that created Roon.

While interesting release from them, I wonder if anyone here has tried their Nucleus boxes in either configuration?

I understand its turnkey appeal, hence the price to play. Yet never seen anyone compare it against another Roon server solution such as the ROCK, someone not a professional reviewer that is.

Thatā€™s because there isnā€™t any. In Roonā€™s defense theyā€™ve never touted sonic improvements, just server performance and handling library sized and the various digital filtering.

That is what I figured, they are pretty and better looking than my simple NUC box. Will give them that!

I was watching an architectural digest video the other day and ran across this in the guyā€™s house. I just bumped into it today online. It is beautiful. Limiting for an audiophile, but Iā€™m sure it would impress the hell out of most and definitely has the aethetics sewn up.

Looks like the Omega alnico drivers in there for sure.

Matching to their new line of really nice HT speakers. When i ran across a matching center to my BMRā€™s i purchased it so if ever i desire i have a full 5 speaker set of the BMRā€™s, (Tower, standmount & center) as a HT set-up. This set will never be sold, it works as absolutely great 2 channel or HT and Iā€™m completely satisfied and the investment is completely paid for. At some point in life you need to make a decision and call it done and as far as the BMR Philharmonitors go Iā€™m completely happy and satisfied w/ them :+1:
Also, knowing i have the Salk made version of the towers which is basically almost a one-off, Iā€™m extra pleased. I have had several offers to purchase my pair, and they arenā€™t going anywhere, i really love the finish :heart_eyes: Canā€™t tell you how much i appreciate you! :+1: :hugs:

Can i ask what amps you use with your bmrs?

Yes of course.
The towers get a Vinnie Rossi L2i -SE. that has appropriate power for them at about 140 wpc and Iā€™m very pleased. Currently it is used in conjunction w/ an OG Berkeley Alpha Reference DAC.

When I was using the Stand mount BMRā€™s in 2 channel my absolute favorite amplifier with them was an older Sugden FPA-4 mated to Lampizator Baltic 3 DAC and surprisingly a great pre-amp was my Eddie Current Studio B :flushed:

I have relegated the BMR stand mounts currently to HT use along with Dennisā€™s matching center channel. Love them there  If ever I go hog wild with my HT again I will use all 5 of my BMRā€™s on it and call it ā€œend-gameā€ Home theater for me :pinched_fingers:

The Vinnie Rossi L2i-SE is my ā€œgo-toā€ amplifier for all my speakers under 92db sensitivity. Most of my tube amplifiers are all very low power, ie. 1-6 wpc.
I sent my Sugden class A out for Service a year + ago and may never get it back. It was just at 30-ish wpc but hit harder than my tube based amps that are 20-30 wpc. On any BMR.

Hope this helps :+1:
