Interesting. Iāve been researching agd amps myself
Oh I forgot to mention, in the HT setup I use a Monoprice Monolith 5 channel amplifier and an older model Dennon AVR as a pre-processor.
I have that room set up as 5.2, Iām pretty satiated despite the fact that I have minimal effort invested in the total room.
Cool. I dont reallly have the room for a 5 channel but its good to know they work well with class d amps
Iām thinking about getting the monitor and if i like them i might get a pair of smaller mini ones for my desk
Negative, NO class D used here. Purely class A and A/B.
New solid state amp from T&S/Galion called āTS A75ā, seems reasonably priced at $1495. Pretty happy with my Tyrs rn so not too tempted, but it could be a āsolidā performer for the price (heh solidā¦ like solid stateā¦ Iāll see myself out). Anyways, hereās the linkā¦
Would love to hear these at CAF in November.
Itād be nice if they had a balanced headphone amp. I really like the output on the tt2
Just to be compatible with your cables or because you like balanced more? It never really bothered me.
Mostly cable compatibility and not needing adapters but also the added separation amd extra power is nice to me
Gotcha. Imo itās all about implementation. Thereās really solid amps that are powerful and se only.
But I understand where youāre coming from.
I agree with @Rhodey on this one. Balanced is nice and can be useful such as long cable runs, but a well designed SE amp can be really good too. Lots of the more loved amps that are talked about here are SE.
The Alto seems like itās a mix of a Qutest and Anni, but with greater power output. Curious to see what DAC theyāre actually using.
It could be a nice little desktop AIO option.
There is no DAC, itās only an amp, video on the page shows all the inputs and outputs on the back side.
I love the look of these. Did I miss a price?
I didnāt see one.

Jason revealed more information on the Aegir 2 and it looks like teh release date is looking at the very end of February, but it may get push back. I might try it since it seems cool.
To help you decide if Aegir 2 is for you, hereās a brief outline of the differences:
- More power: 25/50W 8/4 ohms, 100W mono.
- Less heat: revised Continuity runs cooler, revised standby consumes only 1-2 watts.
- Less invasive protection: 2X more output devices, so less overcurrent and thermal shutoff.
- New techāHaloā¢: mixed-mode feedback output stage, low damping factor of 10 may be controversial. Nonswitchable. Always Halo. Unless in mono, then no Halo.
- Toroid transformer. Not a big deal, but some people like them.
- More money: $899, $200 more than outgoing Aegir.
naim relesed a new AIO
class D, that will not be appreciated by some of the naim crowd
