I think the colors dont help either, its definitely de ugliest exterior design ive seen on the 3k to 4k amp range, and the vents on the sides are also colored, what happened to the beautiful aesthetics of all their previous products lol
The fan is remarcably stupid design, especially for the GT which looks like it doesnt even need it at all; then the silent revision of the xgt2023 that changed the fan to a quieter one is a mess.
Also not having a poweramp mode really cripples the design as the volume control which is noisy cant be deactivated.
I read a rumour the poweramp mode will be back for the voyager which is very important for me to even consider to buy it used, as it uses the exact same noisy volume chips with opamp design.

New iFi iDSD Diablo 2
I dont really understand who is the diablo for, the first one was not great for me, lets say they fixed everything: even with all those watts its far from sounding like a desktop system in its ability to power power hungry cans and still not great for iems.
Unless they can fix that as well. I love ifis whole lineup until they go higher tier like the neo, diablo, pro xdsd and pro ican. Their lower stuff is so good.
Yeah, I’ve never heard the original Diablo (I only remember the funny car marketing). It seems like they’ve added some features like xMEMS and some newer filtering(?).
I do love my GOldBar although that uses a Cirrus Logics chip where this uses Burr Brown.
I use the Diablo exclusively for my second setup, and it fits my weird use-case of majority power-hungry planar (+ amt) iems. Also has a very weighty/slammy and intimate presentation I like for the Sus & LCD-5.
Depending on the sound characteristics of the new one, I’ll likely wait it out until they hit the used market.
Creative Labs has pre-orders open for their new Ace series with xMEMs drivers (w/ one DD for noise-canceling). Apparently it’s not revolutionary (understandable at the $150 price-point), going off this Head-Fi user’s brief impressions, but I snagged the Ace 2 out of curiosity since I don’t have any TWS’ myself besides the Fiio UTWS5.

It looks like ZMF is working with a Headfi member on releasing an amp called Aegis.
I don’t think I ever heard the Aegis yet, but I really enjoyed every amp L0rdGwyn have designed which was the Airmid and his custom 45 tube amp and both sounded great. Looking forward to how people think about this amp.
Just read on SBAF that DNA is releasing a new amp called the Supernaut. Doesn’t seem like its going to replace anything from the current lineup.
So a side grade, then?
I guess we’ll know when its announced. I am just speculating based on the tube complement.
