Ya i lookt in to them but is like 10weeks order time to sweden

I like eikons very much but would pick up fostex th900 here. I have saphire blue so a bit different tuning to og

Also will throw out the awas and awkt too, but the ladder can be pretty picky about source gear, very great for vocals, smaller but very deep stage

The th900 ltd versions would also be very nice @Salguson says, but are more semi closed

I could get the awas here in sweden was just worried after reading that they was bass light

I saw sapthire blue on head fi for 1300 eur so that would fit the budget. Yes eikons seal better but th900 does not leak like a crazy

But are dan clarks stuff any good

In comparison to something like an eikon or th900 I’d agree, although the bass is very technically able, just lacks extra prominence and hard hitting slam

They pop up on the used market quite often and under your budget too. They provide tremendous value on the used market. Shipping them to you might be difficult but I really think given what you’re looking for they fit the bill pretty nicely.

What’s your source gear?

Both zeos and DMS loved the Aeon 2 noeir

LCD-XC has been quite solid for a long time and with the 2020 revision they are supose to be even better (had the revision directly before the latest one). Good technicalities, good bass, and iver all a solid performer for the price. Only real hold up here is timbre. If yiu are a massive timbre whore just loom straight past.

That said, imo, jjst get iems. Mest mk2 shits all over every over ear (open or closed) ive heard in its price range (for my preference). I think its different but technicaly like 1/4 tier below hd800s and arya but I found both cans pretty boring unless you tube the shit out of them. Easily same tier if not higher technicaly than LCD-X, clear, and ature. That would personaly be my pick for a noise isolating listening experience around that range

The aeon 2 is pretty nice, although staging and vocals weren’t exactly stand out to me. I also don’t think it’s the same tier as some of the other aforementioned headphones

So i can confirm that. Not like they lacking bass extension but they were very light with slam and impact for my taste. But to be fair my chain was not the best for them

I have the FIR audio M4s

But iems messing whit my ear wax production

And i got problems from it

For me, honestky, its not even the prominence I miss. Just flat out the slam. Imo DCA woukd go from “pass” to probabaly the top of their tiers (for the ones I’ve heard) if they could just actualy slam

Fair. If they don’t work they don’t work. I just find people often overlook iems when often I find they have better sq than closed backs at a given price point

The annoying thing is that i can’t test any of the headphones in store
