Thank you for posting this, they sound extremely confident about their product and IF it does what they say it does which I believe it does since they are willing to offer up testimonials in this fashion I think I found the final little bit of extra I needed to finish off my own set-up
Nice! Would be awesome to hear your experience IF you do it.
I’ve heard Salk Songtower and Veracity HT3… Spatial M3 and M4 sapphires from that list. I’m no poet when it comes to describing sound quality but let me know if you have specific questions. The Salks are beautifully made pieces with almost a furniture level grade of wood. The spatials being open baffle are more special to me. Once you get that open baffle base and speed “it’s on”. If I had the space to let them breathe the M3 Sapphires would be the clear choice for me. It doesn’t take a mac truck amp to power them either. I heard running off an entry level ARC tube amp and a pair of Aegir’s and it was completely in control.
Gonna cross post this here (not quite sure how I link it properly to my post in another thread)

Just measured the room very roughly and that wall is about 3m wide so not quite as wide as you had them before, my plan is to listen to them a bit more this week and hopefully re-listen to the other speakers that I was demoing at the store to sure up my decision. I love what these do in terms of Timbre etc and the way that they disappear (I’m not the biggest fan of being able to tell where sound is coming from in a speaker).
I don’t like sitting listening to something knowing that I could get much better out of it though, I constantly felt like that with my HeK since I couldn’t afford the source upgrades at the time
I thought this was pretty interesting. I wasn’t aware of the sound differences b/w 1d and 2d diffusion. Video here.
This probably doesn’t affect too many people here, but I have some retro consoles and Sony PVMs (mostly 20L5s) in my setup, so I thought this bit of discussion about how modern speakers don’t magnetically shield themselves anymore was a little interesting:
I have a pair of relatively low-end active speakers right next to my main retro-gaming PVM (Mackie CR3s) that don’t cause any problems, so I guess I got lucky!
Just out of curiosity, has anyone ever heard the magic radio OB-4 by Teenage Engineering? It’s not really a hi-fi product, I’m just curious how they sound like.
Please help me, I want to buy these things so badly. No having my Omegas still after 14 weeks and counting is driving me batty… so I’m surfing for speakers and I come across these. Seems like a one man operation, but such an interesting design and just an amazing high polish home built vibe. Anyone find a review or know anything about these?
It’s my first speaker crush and I don’t know how to handle it.
Hehehe, the beauty of the Orient. Don’t look at those, they are under 90db sensitive and not the best match for your room or equipment. I love the look though and have seen a similar design out of Brooklyn. I need to find the mfgr. Hard to get s hold of, found some in Miami one time…
Ha! These, the Ojas, the 2 way kit, very similar and priced similar, i found a few for sale in Miami at a fancy dealer tucked away in wild location…
Yes, interesting design, much adored in the DIY community especially in its larger form/design….
You will need a larger room @dB_Cooper if you don’t control the urges
Thank you for the legwork, so it’s a “thing”. Honestly man I think the road ahead for me will wind up being more and more lower volume listening. 90 dB would be plenty efficient for my needs.
It’s 5 pm currently, no tv’s or cleaning appliances running. I’ve been settled into a listening session and decided to see what my “daytime comfortable” volume levels average.
Here is a snapshot on a free app i have on my phone. As the evening progresses i tend to lower the volume even further and despite this fact it actually starts to seem louder in the room.
I’m stupidly pleased that i can enjoy full sound in my home at these extremely low volume levels. It allows me to play w/ gear that would otherwise not work well.
I was in a HiFi store just the other day enjoying big systems with much power and volume. Love them but that just would not work out well for me at home, i could rarely enjoy the volume.
Low power, high sensitivity and really quiet settings for the win
You’re listening to the vaccum cleaner? They’re a great group!
Long time, no update. Been super busy lately, but finally got my Rythmik’s dialed in nicely. Very happy with the outcome.
Local shop I found today has some interesting vintage speakers. Tannoy Gold, Klipsch KG4, Marantz, Sansui, KLH, and a bunch of random Infinity, Sony, Bose, Pioneer type stuff.
Has anyone heard the Tannoy Gold or Klipsch KG4? Any sleepers in the Sansui, Marantz, or KLH vintage speakers?
I still have my Klipsch KG4s! Bought new in '86 I believe. Small horn, 2…8 in. mid/bass and a 12" passive in back. Solid walnut. Do best w. a decent amp, but not real hard to
drive. I’ve seen an update speaker refresh offered by someone, but heard mixed reviews
on it. Mine still sound ok, but modern ones I’ve heard are more detailed. Have fun choosing.
They said the tweeters had need updated with titanium drivers. Didn’t get to listen to them. The Tannoys look like these, but don’t say Oxford on them, just Gold.
I’m so close to pulling the trigger on these. Not sure I have a big enough room and they do have multiple blemishes but it’s about $8K less than MSRP.
And they’re gone
