I would say so. It’s pretty dynamic and has that planar punch that some people like. It’s a nice headphone for fun, non critical listening.
I’ve only tried the old chassis with the old pads.

I picked them up. Hopefully they’ll work out in my system and have a role with my current headphones.
Depends on your goals. IMO the V2 is kind of a slept on can. Its not at the technical level of those other two but its not so far behind to just be off the table either. The thing I will say is that you will absalutely want the bass pads, so factor that into the cost.
It’s the only abyss that I actually think makes sense at retail, it’s probably also their best tuned as well. Fits the use case they were going for really well
Good deal for 1775 (got a longer cable) and I guess I’ll buy the pads (269).
Good catch !! Glad you snagged them… Someday maybe but not today for me
Wonder how they’d be on the Corda Soul I’ve got coming. Not that I need them, but for something fun at that level and price, it’s pretty tempting.
Congrats! Looking fwd to your impressions.
Diana V2 just showed up from the sale they had the other day. These are very detailed, was not expecting that. And the ported pads work well so I’ll leave those on. Here are some pictures and I will work on some impressions and comparisons once I’ve had more time with them.
Can you take a photo of them next to another headphones for size reference?
Thanks!
This is a good option for understated look compared to performance. I think the TC might be bigger? I’ll need to look that up it’s just from visual memory
The Diana TC is the same size I believe. The 1266 TC is definitely larger
Yeah all the Diana have a similar footprint, very good size for a portable/transportable lowkey set, now if we could just get that closedback they have been working on it would be a truly good option for portable
Hmm, I’m holding my DV2 earcup next to the photo you posted and it looks pretty close, so I think maybe mine is also from before the revision. I’d be interested to a see a photo from anyone here who knows they have a newer model!
Initial impression are it’s pretty solid. Especially at its sale price. No way I’d pay 3.5k lol. I think it needs burn in time. Bass pads are cool but I don’t mind reg pads either. It’ll be interesting to see how it changes and how my ears change/adjust over time with it.
Definitely a cool and unique build. Same with the packaging. Gonna go shave now
Has anyone tried the Diana TC? Wonder how these compare? These don’t have bad bass, even with the regular pads. Is the TC just more detailed? Wonder how much the tuning gets jacked up.
The way these fit me is it’s a bit of pressure on the temple area, not bad tho and I have a small gap at the bottom of the pad. It’s in the jaw back of the jaw area. It’s not a huge gap or anything, just more than other headphones. I wonder if this helps the bass for me with the reg pads. I’ve heard a seal break can help.
I had the diana tc a while back, I wasn’t really impressed. It has a ton of detail and bass but it sounded a bit thin. I slightly preferred it over the 1266 TC but I didn’t like that headphone either lol.
A gap is basically how the 1266 is designed to be
worn and create its bass presentation because of that.
I remember people talking about bending the Diana a bit but please don’t do that without researching first lol don’t come blaming me!
I’m gonna run it over with a Jeep. If it doesn’t survive I’m gonna call Joe a liar!
