-GS3000e (liked better than X)
-PS1000e (2000e would be crazy but im happy)
-PS500
-RS1 Vintage (need new drivers, 44mm is so hard to find @Hazi59)
-RS1e
-SR325 Gold
I got lent the HP1 (1000) and concluded I dont need that one at all, its very good but twice as overpriced as it should be.
The only thing id add is a GH2 but they always come by expensive and when I have no money.
My RS1 vintage drivers died (tragic) so I put these “ps1000e OEM” drivers, im 70% sure they are chinese copies, they dont sound half bad but Id prefer like a symphony v9 or turbulent x or whatever but all of them are 46mm, dont fit.
If it was me, I’d just sand down the inside of the wooden cups. That allows you to customize the fit for larger drivers. Only negative obviously is that it isn’t reversible. You could choose to pressure fit the drivers, or sand down additional room for an adhesive if you wanted.
I just purchased a pair of Hisenior Okavango (1 biocellulose dynamic driver and 6 balanced armatures). I’ve been so happy with my Mega 5 EST, I figured why not grab another model from Hisenior.
Mine arrived this AM. The 2.5mm connectors are extremely small, so none of my 2.5mm would fit. They probably wouldn’t work anyway because it would have to be wired specific to a pole per side, which kinda sucks out of the gate.
My first 10 minute impressions aren’t bad though. Bass really stood out initially. I didn’t really hear anything that I was annoyed with to give me a reason to complain yet. So I have positive opinion of these so far.
Got a pair of uniquemelody mest MK2s from reddit that were delivered today. Expecting a mojo2 and poly from a hobby friend tomorrow.
I’ll be traveling quite a lot this summer and wanted something portable I can take with me.
Dabbled in another consumerist hobby had to stop cause I only initially bought one for a couple of weddings I had to attend then my collector brain got me
this is my first chord product, I hate the lights lol
it does sound great with the mest mk2, will be a fun portable setup around the house and while traveling this summer.
I definitely plan to reshell the mests to customs ($330) later this year.
I’ll be looking for a nice entry level cable (3.5mm) to minimize the number of adapters I’m currently using. Also might try a few sets of tips, I have them with xelastec and fit is nice and snug but I can’t imagine wearing these for hours
Depending on how entry you want to go, I would say Tripowin Zonie from Amazon. I have them on several IEMs and enjoy them all. I mostly use 4.4 but whether it is 2pin or mmcx 2.5,3.5 4.4. I have just about every combo and they are pretty great.
