What have you purchased recently?

@Gothique So I have heard. They do push my Asgard as well, tho still sound quite good since getting the BF. Sundara’s sound great though. Thanks for the reply.

Only the Rockna WD NET is the new addition. Running out of space on the rack again with the addition of this beast but I finally don’t need to turn on my PC in the other room every evening and can also try CDs to see if they’re really that much better.

P.S. Wish I found it in black to go with everything else I have but I guess it gives it some contrast and as my wife says, I’m going to be ruining the symmetry with the hideous blue of DNA so doesn’t really matter :joy:

Nice and congratulations. The blue definitely grows on you tho. And the wavedream in silver will go along with the silver and blue of the dna.

Anyone who saw the Stratus I have here actually said the blue looks great. I agree for the most part. #smurfsamp

ECP Walnut 3 DAC

Thanks @FiCurious for a very nice deal!
I change gear a lot, but this is going to be my first big upgrade in a while. Very excited to take my digital source to what’s probably end game territory for me…

So much of the stuff that makes us smile comes from clean power, you’re not being obsessive.

Just purchased a couple tickets for my SO and I to go see Skinny Puppy live. Apparently it’s a 40th anniversary final tour, so I feel obligated to go or I’d be really pissed with myself. Super excited over it : )

Not audio related but got a pizza oven and made some wood fired pizza today. I know the one in the pic is smol but it was very yummy.

TH-610 are the more neutral of the two. You still get that Fostex/Lawton sound, but with less peakiness at both ends of the spectrum. Something to consider.

X00 pads cut the treble down and I got these for maximum bass

Dear diary…

Finally jumped into DDC gang with SU-6 which I integrated to office setup. Noticed a jump that was more significant than I’d have expected, broadly. I thought it pulled some smear of the BF2 via USB, increased separation, bass definition and just overall sense of resolution. Vocal timbre, clarity and overall presentation seemed to get a significant upgrade. Was impressed. Now I’ve immediately downgraded this setup by finally moving the BF2 downstairs to 2ch setup where it swaps with a Modius which used to live at office desk. Home again. Thinking in the short term that the Modius takes AES, which I ordered a WW Starlight 7 for to explore. The intention up here is definitely to do something in the range of Ares II. Something that is in the realm of sidegrade if not upgrade to BF2, hopefully. Obtained more affordable than expected monoblocks (but Class D, we’ll see!) for 2ch setup to change in, explore. Came dangerously close to obtaining Bryston BHA-1 and Arya v.2 back towards the Holiday season, but my cheapskate gene kept me JUST short. Still have speakers to play with in 2ch. Have a fun little side project for second bedroom that involves the cutest little speakers (Decware Tiny Radials).

Goals definitely still involve upgrading the office DAC and headamp (Asgard 3). Arya also still a goal. If I had a mulligan, I’d have probably spent $45 more and secured both the silver BHA-1 and the Arya v.2 – a green GS-X Mini is the other dream. On DAC front, I saw a Bryston BDA-1 that looked of interest, but I don’t see it discussed a ton and am unsure what the right price is on those. The other thing I must do is sell or gift some gear.

Shoutout to @NickMimi for being a very thoughtful seller and shipper on here.
