Christmas came early, Innuos PhoenixNET Ethernet switch. I cannot recommend Arizona HiFi enough, Glenn has never let me down and he always seems to know when I’ve reached a point where getting an upgrade of something in my hands is necessary
Unit will need time to warm up and my ears absolutely need time to settle in with it.
Sorry about all the dust on the Bifrost 2, but I have a Magni Piety in house as of yesterday:
I haven’t gotten much listening time on it, but first impressions are that it’s not really for me. (I’ll get into more detail about that later on.) But since this one is a bit of a curio, if any long-time Sonus members want to try this as a loaner, feel free to send me a message!
I got a piety recently too. Pretty bad the first hour or so. Would be worth trying again after burning it in a bit more.
Cool cool, glad to know it’s not just me. Yeah, was definitely planning on letting it burn in and giving it another try some time later on.
Yeah it’s improved, I’ve had mine on for 24+ hours. It was pretty closed down last night. The jury is still out, we’ll see. But it was $150!
(Ignore Loki, it’s for speakers)
Look, when your TV has the blacks not dark enough, and the green is weird, you adjust it until it looks right.
Why not do the same for sound?
Well, ordered this to build a Roon Rock server (Nuc)
And this, Holo Red from Kitsune which looks like it’ll be about a 4 week build time plus shipping, so 5 weeks total.
True enough. That’s why I have one. I use the eq in SoundSource when using headphones if needed.
This little guy arrived on my doorstep today:
Singxer SU-1 KTE
I think this will be my final purchase of 2023 2022. Nice way to cap off a solid year in hifi!
I thought I might have missed the double helix sale, but was able to make a purchase for cyber monday. Ordered a Prion4 for the susvara and a spades adapter for it. So hyped for it : )
You’re done for next year as well?
ugh… corrected above to say 2022.
Work planning has all shifted to 2023, and i’m already starting to mix up dates!
Nah you still have a few more weeks
Niiice, I love Vulfpeck’s music. They are one of the few artists I still go back to even though I’ve heard a lot of their music multiple times lol, “Mr. Finish Line” is still my favorite album from them. Glad to see them get some love here.
I discovered them a few months ago and am really having fun with it. Joe Dart is a bass god. The Fearless Flyers at Madison Square Garden is another gem.
I read that too quickly and thought you wrote Joe Dirt!
He is a bass god tho. Guy can play man!
Joe Dart is a better musician, but doesn’t have a sweet mullet nor does he go shirtless. So it’s even
Life’s a garden, dig it!
