Adding some notes here after getting my second v550.
I went back to the v222 today after using the v550 exclusively for 23 days. The v550 is definitely an upgrade from the v222 in every aspect except tonality. The soundstage is taller, wider, and deeper. The resolution, as well as the dynamics, is a step up. It also has more treble, and the bass extends further into the sub-bass compared to the v222.
The only drawback is the tonality,i t doesn’t pair well with the DAC2. While it sounds amazing and highly resolving, it lacks that sweet tonality overall. I think I’m getting a Yggy + GS2 before they run out to pair with the v550.
