Spanish/Latin Music

This is an amazing exploration of rap. While I didn’t like everything in it, there was definitely some stuff that caught my attention. Thank you for this. Good stuff!

Kinda Spanish music? This one is by an electronic artist I really like, Hot Shade, but most of the lyrics are in Spanish so… I guess it counts?

I used to hate La Rosalía but the gang suddenly started blasting her music unironically… A guilty pleasure it is (?) maybe a year from now ill regret it

Estemen - Fuimos Amor. Found this artist recently, really reminds me of Miranda! and im all for it. Ended upp buying two of the albums and they are precious dang gold. Definitely recommend them for indie?Alt rock? Not really sure what music category it is tbh but it is phenomenal

Its hard to classify steman, here we just call everything that has tha vibe just “indie” because its a mix of indie rock, pop and synthpop, there are bands like clubz, little jesus, elsa y elmar, etc etc

These are my 2 essential latin american indie songs

(Both available on streaming services)

Esteman is a bit more of a singer tho

Esteman does remind me of miranda, I wonder if their new stuff is good, cus their classics are immortal

His voice and atmosphere is also a lot like babasonicos but still very unique

I enjoyed these, the 2nd track especially.

Then im glad to say the vast majority of Elsa y Elmar’s music is as good imo

Gustavo Cerati (originally from the rock group Soda Stereo)

In argentina Bocanada is widely considered the best album ever made, heavily influenced and maybe only rivaled by some of Spinetta’s albums

Soda Stereo - Comfort y musica para volar, is also widely accepted as one of the very top live recorded concerts in spanish

This one might be worth listening to then! Another song with Sebastian Yatra altho technically he’s features in it. Also surprising to see the song you posted because evey song ive seen him in hes either featured or featuring an artist. My mom says he’s basically collabed with every artist in Mex etc LOL

Also legit crazy how good these streaming services are so amazing at recommendations, spotify is LOVED by me and my mom and sis too because it really has awesome playlists, it just knows what you would lik.

Found some more popular music recently. Maybe it is cookie cutter or something but I still enjoy it:

This song is soooo dope/hype. It’s by a group of young artists called Morat and a legendary old school artist called Juanes! Ended up being a phenomenal collab!
