See I didn’t exactly want it to be a reference or anything like that, it’s literally just a list and ranking of things I personally enjoy, but I don’t know if it’s really suitable to be a resource for others (hence why it’s also unlisted, but that’s also because I don’t like self centered content most of the time). I might end up posting it elsewhere to abuse for more traffic to the site, but it’s really more just an entertainment thing than anything else

I just don’t know if I really want to stoop to the levels of the some of the other people with tier lists lol. Although I still don’t know if it’s right to call it a tier list rather than a grouping of headphones and iems that I like within a performance tier. Since there’s nothing that I don’t like or wouldn’t recommend outside of dogshit tier
Speaking of dogshit, I really mean I would genuinely throw them out, unlistenable to me. There’s seriously not much that would fit into that category outside of consumer garbage. As an example of what wouldn’t be included would be something like a meze empyrean, while I think that’s a bad value, it still does sound good and I would have no problems listening to it. Even things that are bad value or have mediocre performance are typically still listenable, a headphone really really really has to piss me off or actually make me want to take them off immediately to land in dogshit (speaking of, I added a few more things to that)

Value is very subjective and usually has a price associated with it. One would think your dog shit category is unrelated to the deal - it’s objectively bad and shouldn’t be a product.

Yeah, I guess from my perspective everything else except the dogshit category I’d consider some form of good value, and I just didn’t bother including things that didn’t perform for the price given their respective performance tier, so everything on there to me is at least a good value

I think it’s good that your list was based on sound quality. The reader can decide the value proposition for themselves.

I will speak up and say i still love my hfi780 for getting me through so much, but i got to say my ultrasones did not age well. Even the open back proline 2500 is hard to listen to. But if you can bear the treble i feel like that had some spooky imaging/placement going on. But even the 780s are just used for yardwork and most of that is blocking out machine noise.

-No sign of LCD4? 
It really does a few things right lol, also really boosting it with source gear to make that category
Don’t really like it, and don’t think it’s competitive with most offerings at it’s price point

I would go over to the old site and say to everyone starting out in the hobby that found their way there through Zeos’ channel and say, I give you the “Good Shit” commandments. Buy Theeeeeez, paired with their equivalents for synergy in the “Good Shit” commandment and stop buying bad click bait shit du jour that’s peddled by the false prophet profit.
Save your pennies and then move up on your own timeline. So much of the entry level has become nothing more than the next sub $400 giant slayer and it’s all about getting paid.

Decent but I think value wise they don’t hold up that well, not that remarkable (at least for the us4+) considering the v550 pro now exists and I honestly like that a bit more despite it being a bit less technical
I didn’t have enough time with it to comfortably put it in there I think, although I could consider adding it, it just isn’t as stand out as some of the other options in sound (but that’s not a bad thing either)
Meh, it’s fine, but somewhat unremarkable compared to other things imo
Respect it, but it’s not something I really personally enjoy, this is mainly only stuff I’d want to listen to myself
