One of the artists I’ve discovered in the last few months, been playing her new album a lot lately. Then earlier today i was checking out the first take channel like I do every month or two and hey there was a iri feature recently
I love how low her vocal range extends, there is not many Japanese singers that can reach the notes she does, very unique vocal style imo. I’m totally in love with this r&b hip-hop sound that iri does best, it’s so fun.
hip hop heads here are definitely gonna recognize two of the best collab albums of all time.
The spirit of apollo by N.A.S.A. and one big trip by D.E.L. are always going to be a default setting of mine to help me forget how old I’m getting lol.
Exploring some more first takes I’ve missed recently. I’ve been a fan of sangatsu for a few years now and their music has only gotten stronger and more solid as time passes. Somewhat lesser known in some circles as well, so it’s nice to see the exposure that first takes can bring.
Mia’s upbeat and energetic vocal style is quite a contrast to the low and deep smooth style Iri showcased in my previous post, but no less impressive. This is actually my first time seeing her perform in a live setting and the first thing that jumps out at me is that she looks just like how the anime character in all the MVs is portrayed, definitely a 1:1 and very cute
I’m late to the party, but I’ve only just started listening to Wednesday Campanella recently and wow, I was not prepared, I’m enjoying this music a ton!
(EDIT: I guess YouTube embeds don’t work inside of quotes?)
Anyway they even have a new singer now called Utaha who is very talented and fits their sound perfectly, former leader of the band KOM_I left after their folklore album for very valid reasons.
I love KOM_I and the newcomer Utaha feels to me like the perfect fit to fill the pumps they walk in
