I have the Utopia to HD800S adapters. Since the 800’s jack is higher up there’s plenty of clearance, plus these aren’t too big/long.

Anyone have experience comparing the German made vs Ireland made HD800s variants? Is it worth holding out for a “low miles” older German model? Or are the newer Ireland made close enough that the differences don’t matter?

No experience with the ireland units but i do believe it is the same factory that has been making the 6xx series for all these years.
I will note, on most any used unit i would change the earpads and headband pad. The material they use is really luxury feeling but they soak up skin oils like a super skin oil soaking sponge. I need to change mine after 2 years but i do daily them.
