Lukasz confirmed: No Atlantic TRP4. That was a typo. The latest is TRP3 w/ Engine 11.
Did he clarify what’s the Atlantic 3 and what’s 4 then?
Anyone heard of a Lampucera? This has me interested. I am unlikely to be able to afford a Lampizator in the near future, but a top-spec Lampucera? Not too pricey. I probably don’t have the time to build it, but I at least have the skills given my ever relevant A Level in electronics.
I checked with my dealer, this is a typo and Atlantic 3 is previous gen (engine 53) and 4 is the current TRP3 (engine eleven)
Please see the posts from Lukasz Fikus himself on WBF. There is no 4, so this might be misinformation. Almost 99% sure that TRP2 was E53. TRP3 is E11; the 3 was announced shortly after E11 was announced in 2022.
Agree, that’s what my dealer confirmed too. I was sure there is no TRP4 in the pipeline but confirmed nevertheless.
That’s a pretty sweet looking kit.
Of all the dongle DACs that I’ve heard, the CS chipped ones have been the best (followed by R2R), IMO.
I’m guessing that’s a pretty good DAC. Let us know if you do end up with one. Seeing the build progress would be cool too.
Welcome to SA, btw!!
Yes, Lukasz stated to me in an ema their develop.ent rubs are ~2 years, so a while for the trp4 and nothing right now.
Also, welcome!
My brain almost blew up after spending all day reorganizing and cleaning and sweating my ass off lifting everything one handed while balancing under a cramped desk with the other. But what really blew was this fuse, and thankfully there was a spare.
But in the end things finally got back to running
Luckily it wasn’t one of those SR Purple fuses.
Alls well that ends well!
How’s the sound?
Just so you know someone noticed, that’s a nice photoshop on the display….
Buy a replacement slow blow fuse now, they do blow on occasion, I’ve only had on blow in the last 5 years, but it left me without a working amp for 24 hours of worrying the damage was more serious.
Yes the fact I’ve lost a fuse in recent memory has always put me off experimenting with expensive fuses.
Still cheaper than frying some tubes… or a dac…
Some say it doesnt actually reach -69, but my unit must be special.
Dont know, i spent so long arranging, rearranging, having things miss by 1" that i was exhausted at the end of the day and i still need to clean up and tidy up today too. Maybe ill try the hd800s on the chain and take advantage of the 20ft cable as work about.
I was trying to arrange @Christof’s preamp and poweramp he kindly loaned me and this made me appreciate the convenience of a audio rack so much, figuring out creatively the cable runs and where to place everything without it being on the floor and needing other backups interconnects etc.
I had some issues from my original plan. When i tidy up i will take a pic and explain more. Mostly manufacturers understating equipment size. In the end i may actually be in a better spot.
Yeah my room currently looks like a warehouse collab with a studio, it’s a mess
