Also my song of the day, Epik High - Lesson Zero. This song is the intro to their album, phenomenal intro and honestly at first it sounds borderline generic but if you continue listening to it the rap lyrics (all English btw) are phenomenal really hit hard, love the lyrics. Awesome song.
Word bro, Epik High are alot like Leessang where they have a big discography but all their music is so good that I have all their disks. Pure good stuff, altho ironically if i remember the song you just posted is from my least favorite Leessang album but even that album is fire including that song of course!
Alot of good stuff that Kron posted, i found alot of new music. Asked my friend in Korea to help me get FLAC files for some of them
That album is totally fire lol, the second one as well 재,계발
I expect excellency from krons recs lol, since the og thread there has been so much kpop discovery its daft, ill make an apple music playlist to check them out in a while no tengo spoty
just noticed i forgot to add these 3 to the playlist yet, rip. Either way listened to the other you posted, 구헤영 Ku Hyeyoung with Pengsoo is pretty interesting, weird electronic vibe. Enjoyed that the most out of the rest.
I’m starting to warm up to it, listened to it like 4 times since at first i was super ehhh about it. But now I’m more like, OK it’s not bad. But word bro, gotta follow viviz, ill support them for life
I mean technically viviz does have three of the original members so o can’t argue much lol but first of all StayC debuted shortly after Gfriend disbanded plus I feel like they carry not the same sound but the same essence. Like both groups have fairly different music styles but they carry the same vibes imo. Viviz is a completely different thing, feels so far like a bit of a spinoff of the last music style gfriend had (although at that time they were already tainted as a different company bought them out and they changed style). Stayc is different enough to be fresh and interesting while carrying similiar vibes to gfriend!
Yessir sounds good! I recommend you start Gfriend from their earlier stuff to see how they really developed! Also not a fan of their last stuff. But their middle and earlier stuff that was typically composed by iggyongbae (이기용배) is legit af
I really don’t have any business posting this since I haven’t really listened to it. But it seemed appropriate since its on topic, new and it’s a Thursday.
Never heard of LABOUM before, now I cant stop hearing them, another nice disco very
Also already listened to all of STAYCs tracks on apple and they are supreme, I love their electronic synths and the way their music is a bit different from everything
Gfriends first and 2nd mini album were fantastic, they all have lovely melodic voices, implementing a little bit of ballad into their pop, and straight up unexpected arrangements. I can see why jose like em so much and the productor is very cool aswell
