Got the Rognir Dynamics in house and immediate impressions are actually pretty positive. There isnt a ton of room inside the cup (could certainly be an issue for some) but sonically they impress so far. At only 1400 eur these are realy worth exploring. Ill need some more time over the next week or two but I may actually prefer these to ZMF VC tbh

sweet! I’ve long been interested in the rognir as a totl closed back replacement for the VC. Super interested in you thoughts on it after you get some time with them 
oh yeah 1400 eur is a damn good deal, i think their msrp is 3300 eur if i recall correctly

There is the Rognir that is a 3500 USD (or so) planar. Then there is the Rognir Dynamic (which is what I have) that is a dynamic driver and only 1400 EUR. TBH These are really solid for the price (probabaly above LCD-XC technicaly from long ago memory, so grain of salt there) but yah… What I realy want to hear is the planar

yup. Dude even directly said he was selling cheap cause of the blemish and to donate proceeds to ukraine so I went “thats damned cheap, but I guess its doable since I have seen then go for 2k before already”. Turns out I just didnt know enough about the cans. I wasnt even drunk when I did it either so I cant blame it on that…
Ultimately not a big deal though. Looks like I bought basicaly at market rate so Ill loose a little with the blemish on one of the cups but shouldn’t be too much tbh

Would be super curious how the Rognir dynamic stacks up against the Gjallarhorn. The price delta between the two is not very large. Seems like a similar driver too, with different implementation in the cups.

Anyway, West Coast SA buddy was kind enough to loan me the standard GH50 which I have been so very interested in comparing to my JM edition! I’m so very excited and SO Thankful for the loan! 
I’m hoping to get some good time in with HP’s today. 
This is one of the most cosmetically pleasing HP’s; I adore the brown leather and the red color of the wood is so beautiful. 
I wish I had a better camera and some actual photography skills

In case it wasn’t clear, this one is mine! …I did try to take some fancy photos of it before I sent it off since it is technically for sale, but I dunno, maybe make me an offer in a couple weeks so Nick can enjoy it for a while.

@rgdelato , i hope you don’t mind but i took the time to slowly and carefully clean and condition the leather this afternoon on your absolutely gorgeous GH50’s. Sooo soft and the smell is of freshly conditioned leather now…

There’s a rare Gjallarhorn JM Mk1 for 700 on Head-fi EU but I have reservations regarding build quality. The pads don’t seem to have the same width (not a good sign imo) and people on HFguides reported some oddities with some channels not working initially. I’m probably in the wrong here but I got burnt a couple of times with other brands so I’m a bit hesitant now.
