No i think the Ks are on a different tier still right?
K50 is the K40 + whatever other K? They keep changing it because of parts.
Some of it is higher tier yes but conceptually its what I described I think.
btw I 100% agree with you it sucks that’s it’s three boxes (even though with the S tier it’s clearly what they went for on purpose for modularity)

That email confused me too, been noticing more marketing emails from them lately instead of new products announcements. I do remember the days one had to wait 6 months for a Bifrost 2! Things must be slow

Android 14 gains support for lossless audio formats for audiophile-level experiences over USB wired headsets. You can query a USB device for its preferred mixer attributes, register a listener for changes in preferred mixer attributes, and configure mixer attributes using a new AudioMixerAttributes class. It represents the format, such as channel mask, sample rate, and behavior of the audio mixer. The class allows for audio to be sent directly, without mixing, volume adjustment, or processing effects. We are working with our OEM partners to enable this feature in devices later this year.

People were talking about it in the Canjam Chicago 2023 thread in another forum, so I just did a quick Google and found their Facebook page. Looks like Ray Samuels got a new headphone amp and it’s going to be at CanJam Chicago 2023, but only Sunday showing. The headphone amp is called B-21 Raider and it’s an Electrostatic/Dynamic Amplifier. I love they have a Sony R-10 next to it. They better bring that to CanJam as well

New firmware update for Pontus II. I downloaded and installed it about an hour ago. There is a huge improvement in the bass and mids. Best the DAC has sounded since I’ve owned it.

Oh my… Not a fan of the g1 and g2 in stock form but with the upgraded power supply they become pretty nice.
