That’s brutal!
You can get a 5 port 2.5 g switch from qnap for about 200 cad
And then couple it wirh an ether regen or that other brand
a bit over 300 here, if you count price per port you’re getting a better deal than 200 for 2 ports hehe

While it is still a ways away, it looks like maybe a solid option for new production tubes. I know this wont cover a lot of hifi, but for those of us that have overlap I hope for a high quality KT77 or EL34 at least.
Recently got an email notification about Eletech making a new line of cables meant for full-size headphones (including an option for a MYSPHERE termination, so that’s fun for me personally):
I guess I didn’t know the R10 was the same connection as the MySphere’s, maybe that’ll result in more options.
Some of these high end custom cable vendors can go the gaudy route real quick. These are actually very tastefully designed the splitter and the connector, they look great.
The drop down options though the completely butchered the Furutech name. lol
dude eletech headphone cables? fuck yeah this looks pretty sweet.
I got this email as well. The one thing i wasnt the most fond of with plussound was you have the cable name, which is whatever # of lines in the braid. But then there are a truck load of cable material options that the descriptions all seem redundant rather than pointing out their defining characteristics. Then even things like their highly touted copper + isnt an option for their totl x16.
I still really love my basic copper x8 from them but i would like to see better concentration on what makes each cable unique and why i would want to spend the couple hundred extra for the tri-metal. Especially when at that price the competition seems to have it better laid out.
There is a page that goes into descriptions of each material type as well as excerpts from reviews that are pretty helpful here PLUSSOUND | About | Bio, Wires, Plugs, Y-Splitters
I have a copper+ verse and it is damn nice, just as good sounding as the other copper flagship cables I’ve tried from pwaudio imo. Build quality is second to none out of the aftermarket cables I’ve tried too.
I think part of the reason they don’t offer the copper+ in x16 probably has to do with the unique coaxial configuration if I had to take a guess. Although it would be real easy to just shoot Christian a email, who knows he might be able to do one as a custom job.
You can get the Liquid Platinum for $550 right now if you use the code: sitewide, at Monoprice. Sorry if this is the wrong place to post this!
I think my problem, and looking at it may be a bit unfair, is that yes he describes materials which is good. But the reviews all seem to be the generic bigger stage, better bass, more but smooth treble description. And yes that is usually what a good cable does, but maybe I am expecting more specifics as if it were someone on these forums doing a write up.
Agreed. Though i liked connectors and adapters more from DHC, the DHC stuff had a more homemade feel to it. PS i only worry about the stress relief as i dont see a flexible wrap or anything but the connector ends hopefully are sufficient. The whole thing is a very premium and the included extras are premium as well.
Ill also add Christian is very responsive. I sent him an email on thanksgiving figuring ill hear the week after but he got back to me an hour later.
For my next cable ill still look around to see what makes the headphones and my tastes but I am not against PS at all. Ill apologize as my initial response was kind of negative when it wasnt intention that way.
For sure I get it, for cable reviews you kinda have to find a reviewer that aligns with your taste and stick with them, I align most with twister6 cable reviews so I tend to check his stuff out plus a few non reviewers who do cable impressions on hf.
Yep plussound is my preference when it comes to iem cables (even though they have some pretty nice headphone cables too) and dhc is defnitely my preference for headphones. It also feels good that both are relatively small manufacturerw based in the USA that do high quality custom cables, feels good to support that. Although eletech and pwaudio has some ridiculously premium and good products overseas.
No worries I didn’t take it that way at all actually now that i think about, I would just email Christian and let him know the sound and properties you’re looking for and he could probably help nail down the cable beat for your use case with way more accuracy than a review could
Just saw this…might be old news
It looks like Dyson has released a new headphone, yes that Dyson.
This is too close to April fool’s for me to trust lol
lol. Well, I guess if we’re on that train anyway, Genki (makers of various Nintendo Switch accessories) are also making some Bluetooth earbuds:

The headline feature imo is that you can connect to two different sources and mix the audio together (though one source has to be connected to the case, I guess? I dunno, it’s weird. o.o). Anyway, this is the kind of thing that my girlfriend Ellen often wants to do: listen to in-game sound effects while also listening to an audiobook or to music at the same time.
Rode headphones? Don’t like how large the logo is on the backs though, but look interesting and potentially comfy
