I plan on a DAC Upgrade for my incoming Luxman P-1u. I also want to go to Axpona if it isnāt cancelled this year (Chicago is a 6 hour drive from Cleveland). Also, I look forward to continuing to hear new headphones that I havenāt heard. Lastly, I want to upgrade my cables and buy a pair of IEMs that donāt give me comfort issues.

for 2022 I only want an HE6 with something proper to drive it, thats it.
After that Iāll upgrade my dac to BF2 or maybe MHDT Atlantis or Chord Qutest or dac2541

Goals for 2022, I strive to become a better human being in all ways possible as usual and typically I tend to really go down the philosophical routes with most things. Itās been great as Iāve been fairly open minded about most things and had different perspectives from others which I pride myself on however for this next year I want to focus a bit more on the knowledge side of life. Spend much more time reading upon history books, learning more about the world and focusing on my language studies etc. The problem for these past years has been that Iāve had alot that Iāve had to focus on mentally that it takes all my energy just to keep myself mentally in one piece that I havenāt been able to continue growing and getting out of it. Years ago I had a terrible incident in which my entire brain was struck and since then I developed many mental disorders that kept me just focusing on trying to be normal, this year I want to focus on growth of my knowledge, compassion, skills (such as language and who knows what!)
Also, I wanna buy a mest mk2 :theface:

Audio Goals: Further consolidate and slim down, specifically amps. Perhaps get rid of a few headphones as well, make up my mind on if I want to keep estats or not. Potentially slim down iems as well. Figure out what I want to do when it comes to new dacs lol. Get better isolation for select devices. Otherwise idk, pretty set at this point
Forum Goals: Slowly get more main site links around the internet and write a few more articles over time, find a more streamlined and reliable way to handle new member surveys/invites, get more threads on the forum, some other potentially interesting stuff planned
Off Topic Personal Goals
Rid myself from hifiguides as it only irritates me at this point, swim and bike more, stop being lazy and cook more actual meals, stop over-preparing and focus on the present, get back on a good sleep schedule, become more chill again, finish dealing with family nonsense and fully cut ties

For this year I want to step deeper in the tube world and also finally do the DIY projects that I said I wanted to do last year lol.
For this forum, I want to write two articles for the main site. Donāt really know yet what Iām going to write, but I want to contribute with some contents. Cheers to you all for 2022!!!

Next year I definitely would love to give writing an article for the site a try. I have some upgrades in mind and would love to add my perspective to this site. Speaking of this site, thank you M0N for inviting me. I have since moved completely away from HFGF as well and just like the overall atmosphere and community of this site much more anyways.
Another goal for next year is a susvara, but idk if I want to get a better amp before or after I get the sus. lots to think about, but in general I want to move up to a susvara at some point next year.

During this next year I hope to become less susceptible to the āSquirrelā effect and falling for FOTM easily. I mean unless it is really, really shiny then wellā¦
On another point, I feel that my current system is at a level now where it makes sense to pay more attention to signal source aka what is feeding the DAC. So, I will be investing at a level commensurate to my current system in some sort of streamer/music server player. SoTM sms200neo | Ultrarendu etc. etc. and updating my roon core hardware to a new NUC/Roc or some prebuilt audio specific music server. Then I can look again to moving DAC/AMP to a tier up. OK maybe sneak in another headphone but only after selling one first. There is no need for me to have more than 2-3, is there?

My goal is to stop chasing the idea I must hear all the gear there is. I am very happy with the setup I currently have for desk and on the go and I plan to keep them and spend quality time with them.
Since I have basically two different setups, I would like to explore more in-depth differences I can hear in them and better articulate my findings.
Exploring new music and expanding my library is always high on the list but this year it might be number 1. Cheapest way to get best of the gear we have is to find new music.
For this year my personal goal is also to be more sensible with my budgeting and spending as I have some substantial buys that have priority over audio. If I will meet my targets and it feels like I want to make and upgrade in the chain I have my eyes on Susvara and complementary amplifier.
Moving towards that means that it is probably goal for next two years rather than one.

I too like the atmosphere here, it is a lot more friendly and there are no āinternet argumentsā which is usually just boiling down to who can shout the loudest and get the most angry.
I would like to write a community article as well. I would need to find a topic to write on but it would be a good way to improve my articulation of thoughts. Something Iām not the best at.
In terms of gear, other than taking delivery of a ZMF November headphone that is still being built I have no plans for anything. Although the same could be said every year

I have two items I hope I can save up for this year. Iād really like a Denafrips Ares to pair with my RNHP. I think that might well do me for gear for a while, to upgrade from there would likely cost me more than I can afford.
Headphone wise I would like to save up for either the Denon AH 5200 or the 7200. I keep changing my mind which. This would be a replacement for the ATH-MSR7b which I have kind of outgrown? Lastly I will get around to the DT 880 and mod them.
I havenāt really set any personal goals. I tend to avoid doing that at this time of year as that doesnāt work well for me. Last year contained a lot of internal growth and change. The next one it would be nice to make about consolidation. Two things I would very much like to be able to achieve this year are a regular meditation habit and learn to be better at compassion for myself. Itās so much easier to be compassionate to others!
