I’ve been using my Mojo for gaming for a while now. I switched to gaming with IEMs a few years ago, so the Mojo didn’t hold me back there. I’ve never been left wanting.
When I used over ears to game I had the Aune X8/X7s stack. That sounded great, had a small footprint, and didn’t cost the earth.
If I was looking for a budget Schiit stack today I would go for Mimir and Asgard X combo.
Yeah i also thought asgard, but its just too large for the space I need. Also a bit overkill considering it is just for gaming.
I went ahead and pulled the trigger on a schiit magni unity last night with the mesh dac. Decided to go with the addon dac instead of the stack to just simplify things and keep the cost low. Good price and great size for my desk. Gonna run the hd6xx for now until I figure out what I want specifically for gaming.
I don’t know if you can find one used, but my “work desktop stack” for YouTube and Zoom calls and stuff the past few years has just been a CEntrance HiFi-M8 V2 (which is a portable AIO kinda like an iFi Diablo). I’ve been using it with an HD600 (though it’s one of the new ones, I still have my “good” HD600 as part of my main setup), and while it’s honestly overkill for what I’m using it for, I like it and can recommend it.
Has anyone played with the eversolo streamers at all? Currious where exactly they stack up since the a10 seems like litteraly the only way to use earc for streaming and volume while still having an external dac.
