Canor 2.10 Dac

FYI All.

I was fortunate to do an in home demo on a Slovakian Canor 2.10 Dac. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised by the overall presentation of the music. It uses ESS chips for retrieval with a tube output stage. The clarity was very good, with the tubes giving it that smooth, silky sound. I was told you could upgrade the tubes to get even more from this DAC.

Absolute Sound has a review out if you want to check it out… highly recommended.

Wondering if anyone else has had a chance to listen to this dac ? I am still hunting, need to listen to a R2R dac before making my decision, but I have it high on the list.

The 2.1 also looks solid.
4 Eh 6922 could be a bit expensive in tuberolling.

Which R2R Dac did you have in mind?

I had my eyes on it just because I am from Slovakia lol
And my previous attempt to get Slovak DAC which was veridian utopia end up as total fail.

But I discovered it only after I got total DAC and put the hobby in sort of pause for now.

I still plan to demo it at some point though.

I’m not familiar with the TotalDac, sound wise. I know that they are highly regarded. If you ever do a comparison I would like to hear your opinion.
