Hi Everyone!
New to tubes and looking for suggestions. I have a Heaven 11 Billie Amp using their upgraded and gain matched tubes in the pre-amp driving Tekton Double Impacts. Would like to experiment a little trying different tubes. I am looking for a “very warm” sound… Velvety so to speak… Any tubes I might try for fun? Uses these tubes:
Class AB
Tube Preamp
2 x ECC99 [12BH7 compatible]

I’ve had a look, there are a few 12BH7 that you can buy for free like the Electro harmonix, ect…
You can probably find some on the Nos market.
So older tubes from the old days but never in use.
Unfortunately I can hardly give you any references about the tubes.
You have to rely more on reviews from forums and consumers.
Or from a capable dealer who is well acquainted with tubes.
Like Upscalaudio if you live in America.
I myself have never heard of this type of tube.
Each type is also different in sound the rest is then construction ect…
Yesterday a thread was opened about tube sellers worldwide.
Type in tube vendors in the search.
There you will surely find what you are looking for and maybe find a dealer who can give you better information.
Ah is a nice Amp do have it look nice.
Can’t give much advice regarding the tubes (beyond mentioning the only new ecc99 being manufactured is from JJ) but I wouldn’t mind hearing your thoughts on the amp and your system as a whole.
