What wood is your Atrium? Sorry if I missed it. It’s awesome looking. I’m hoping to find a Cocobolo or Ziricote one day. If not, I’d settle for the koa or bubinga.

Wonder if Zach will need to raise prices on his not USA grown trees?

The Atrium was made from Bocote, was also an LTD 2 years ago.
When I saw it for the first time, it was love at first sight.
I knew that’s what I was looking for.
You hardly see them coming from 2nd hand.
I don’t know if there were too few who bought it or because it is simply very good.
I have seen Koa and Bubinga very often from 2nd hand.
Currently there are Ltd’s again on the 25th
On the 2nd of May there is an even rarer wood variant, I am curious about the purple wood.

Ok cool. I thought it was Bocote or something but missed it when reading your comment really fast. My bad!

Yeah, that’s really nice looking set. I’ve been searching for something similar with either stainless or gunmetal. Saw an African Blackwood with stainless hardware recently but it had brown mesh instead of the black mesh behind the grille. It was so close haha. Felt the brown ruined it imo.

I’m not a huge fan of the red woods or purple. Hopefully a ziricote or Cocobolo will pop up. He currently has those in other headphones so many it’ll happen. We’ll see.

Thanks for the info!

El Salvador has lots cocobolo trees. Maybe you can get on one of those Global X flights that are going on a regular basis now. Encourage Zach.

I see you’re having one of your estrogen peak mood swings.

“ZMF will have to increase prices 200% because the wood isn’t from the US!”

Have a good Easter! God loves you! Yes, even miserable people.

Thank you, although sadly today’s “garden variety Christian” leaves most of Christ’s teaching out of their practice. Thoughts and prayers on your cocobolo wish.

Depends on when they were imported, where they were imported from and what the tariffs were dice rolled to be that day.

Many wood suppliers stock is normally a few years old as it has to be dried out so its been sitting doing its thing. Many builders buy then store stock for long periods to make sure things are dry and accumulate enough material.

From what i heard Zack is very self funded so he would have to dig deep into his own pockets to buy it all before if he could even stretch that far. But maybe as we saw he used his cash to put another atrium driver order in.

Maybe one day he may even use something like brazilian rosewood that needs CITES papers if you dare travel with it.

Cocobolo has lots of red to it.

I take great joy in your oozing love and knowledge of woods. It’s a skill.

Yeah, but I like the darker versions of Cocobolo, with more brown. Some of the other woods that zmf has used were really red. Kinda like the current LTD for the Atrium. Just a bit too red for me.

Another reason I mentioned ziricote.
