Nice looking setup. I’m a fan of the 57s also, though I sold my (second) pair a while back.
I’m curious to know your thoughts on the Berning 6B4G versus the LTA ZOTL40. Are they cut from the same sonic cloth, or is the 6B4G greatly superior? If so, in what way?
I have ZOTL40 Ref (Not the plus) on my Zeths and it’s quite nice. I run a set of vintage Mullards which help flesh things out a little, as otherwise the ZOTL is a little on the lean side.
It took me a long time to find the sweet spot for my Zeths, and like you I have them well out into the room and sit quite nearfield. I may have the same subs as you - those look like Carbon Specials…

They are quite different. Yes, you can tell that they share the same DNA in the sense that both have that midrange magic and score very high on transparency. But the 6B4G is in league of its own. The change was almost like removing a veil from the system. The presentation is quite ethereal and if anything more similar to the LTA UL+, albeit still significantly superior in terms of overall realism. Mind you I had a 40 on my quads for years. But I had a chance to have a friends’ 6B4G in my system about two years ago and never got over the sound. Got my first 6B4G last year and then snatched a second unit out my friend’s hands back in February :D
