Obscure Portable Shit/anything that doesnt have a thread

Just wanted to mention this here, now that musicteck has started carrying aroma audio products, their portable amp the A100TB is also available for purchase

looks pretty interesting, from the little bit of feedback I’ve read about it, seems very positive.

This one has been on my radar for a while. I just had a friend that is deep into portable stuff tell me its the best portable amp stage he has ever heard as well (he hasnt had 428 but he has had basicaly everything else and is using it out of an LP6 Ti afaik)

cool, it definitely seems like a pretty sweet device. Out of curiosity I wonder if your friend is running it with the separate power supply from them… the ps100 i think it’s called or straight portable with the onboard battery? Also it’s op amp based so those can be switched too, I think it comes with bur browns stock

He is using the powrr supply. I will have to bug him to see how it is off battery but tbh i dont realy use my 428 on battery anyways

Nice, I’d be very interested in more feedback. With Aroma gaining steam and more popularity over here in the west and on sites like head-fi I’m sure there will be more impressions on this portable as time goes on. I’m somewhat interested in it as a desktop listening solution for my iems as that scenario has become more and more common for me lately

Ah, i shoumd have mentioned above. His impressions are specificaly talking about iems as he doesnt use over ears much at all.

Anyone here tried some portable energizers? Got fairly low expectations but figured I would ask if anyone know of any stand outs. I would assume a2p TUR-06ES would be up there in terms of portable but I dont realy know what all else is even out there

I hadn’t realised that Phatlab made a “dongle dac”, the Rio:

Looks kinda interesting since from what they say in the description makes it look like they are wanting to give some more power for full size headphones through it
