Nighthawk Gang!

I love my Nighthawks, the inly Headphone I sold and bought again later. The nightowls are fine as well but not as special. I really need to use them more.

I didn’t realize this was still a thing. But here we are, 3-4 years after Music Direct started blowing them out when the Carbons became discontinued. I’ll admit I grabbed an OG nighthawk when I had my Carbons packed neatly in a box collecting dust. I had misplaced them. I thought they were in my garage, but I found them tucked away high in a closet shelf.

I have no desire to compare the two, as I currently am enjoying my OG.

I may entertain a building a system around them at some point, as I am currently have no serious system and not interested in a higher end headphone at the moment.

Just wanted to come back here and say these things still do wondrous things with music. My OG pair’s leather is cracking and flaking off on the headband and pads, but that does not stop me from enjoying them. I feel like my love for audio has been rekindled. I was listening to Epizootics! by Scott Walker (already a very interesting song), and it was magical. I wish they were still making these, because I would absolutely pay the original $750 retail price now simply for how unique they are. These will always hold a special place in my heart as the first truly good pair of headphones (Carbon version) I ever got my hands on. Nighthawk gang forever!
