Not sure how you guys live without gapless. When i get urges to listen to albums straight though that is such a distracting issue.
I wouldn’t be able to do it if it was my main listening solution, but since it is mostly for portable and when I listen portable I typically do shuffle, it’s not as much of a issue

Agreed. Basicaly if i have the usecase for the dap im not goint to be changing muaic musch asside from fast forward and move on so it works orwtty well for me. I do think i would like to go make 1 or 2 more big playlists that are esentialy just genres though

I don’t really use mine as a DAP anymore, it’s permanently used as my 2ch setup dac now so only gaps I have to worry about are with apple airplay

Been wanting to do this comparison for ages. Buddy lent me his obsidion p6p to compaire against the standard

So I still need to update these both to the same software revisions (mine is on 1.0.0.3 and the new one is on 1.0.0.8) but I am fairly conviced that the OG P6P (black/gold) is pretty well wholisticaly better than the new P6P (obsidion). Stage is better used (all distence from max close to max far is used), timbre is better, texture is better, and seperation is better. The obsidion is mor3 forqard with detail but i dont think its actualy higher resolution, and its got a ton more enegry (note i dont mean better dynamics but instead more attack). Tbh they not only dont feel like devices from the same manufacturer but they dont even realy feel like the same tier of device. The stage on the obsidion is quite flat realy limiting what i feel it can do in terms of presentation. Im hoping this if a firmware issue as idk how you step back the capabilities to that extent but we will have to see. Ill do a more formal comparison later (just been far far too busy to write anything recently)

The card needs to be formatted to fat32, so you might need to wipe it and reformat it. Going to guess yours is formated as exfat

Without seeing the pic I thought you meant whether the P6P is picky about what brand/model of micro SD card it uses, cause I rmb seeing LP themselves explaining how they have discovered different micro SD cards impact on the sound

Also besides our very different views on Anime, I think it’s the same with the P6p :theface: I honestly expected alot of quirks. So far nothing has been quirky or an issue lol. Specially grateful that Korean songs, artists do show their korean titles which worried me because the Questyle Dap I had on loan before didn’t.
