Oh cool, tbh I haven’t really seen much in the way of isolators/reclockers so I’m not really sure what I can get in terms of those
I dont know much on the reclocking side but on the isolation side you realy want diode isolated. The Intona 7055-B i linked has the highest isolation of their models and is diode isolated on both the power and USB input
I’ll be looking forward to how it works for you, hopefully it works well so I can get something like that too
Well Ima dumbass and didnt realize shipping was going to take well voer a month until the order had already been fulfilled so its going to be a bit of a wait…
Ouch, I’ll need to wait a bit first anyway, birthdays and Christmas coming up means less audio funds unfortunately
A good midrange usb regen solution is an uptone iso regen with a nicer psu, so I’d look into that personally
I love how tiny that is, especially compared to the LPS it’s pictured with
The interface is fine for me, the library indexing (or lack of in my case) though…
The p6p interface has made me grow fonder and fonder of “shuffle the entire library” tbh
I don’t think mine even lets me do that, I try to shuffle and it tries to scan my sd card (which it can never manage) iirc
rofl. Yah. Gotta scan the card once and just put up with it before it lets you do that. FWIW, if you leave some room on your card that helps a ton. I had an almost full card and it took litteralt 30+ min. Cleared up some space and now its much faster
Mine just never finishes scanning…
have you left it for literally 30+ minutes? when my SD card was full I timed it on a stop watch at over 50 minutes
Mine appears to just shut down and won’t wake back up…does yours do that too, and you just wait it out?
Mine does that too, I’ve not even got a big sd card (200gb)
oh, interesting. No it doesnt. It gives me a progress bar screen that appears to just never move (and wont let you do anything else while its up) but if I click the power button once the screen with go on and off like normal.
@moderators Mind moving this to the P6P thread? Feels more appropriate there
So here is the problem, its a file path issue. One of the paths is too long, the linux based os they use has a character limit and if the file path exceeds that limit it will shutdown in the middle of scanning and exhibit the long wake up thing… I had to diagnose this with mine. If you can shorten the sub folder structures within the sd card by deleting unnecessary layers or renaming the outer most subfolders to lower the character limit it might be an easy way to fix the issue without going through everything. For me it was literally only a few albums in my entire 1TB card and was a pain in the ass to narrow it down but it can be done if the shortening the sub folder structure trick doesnt fix it. pay attention to where the the scan stops on the progress bar before it shuts down and that will give you a good idea how far into the folders it gets before it hits a problem path, then from there you can take that info and use it to make educated guesses and remove a chunk of the files and rescan, rinse repeat until you narrow it down. it was a lot of back and forth but worth it for me since i mainly listen to shuffle a lot of the time.
Oh, that’s great to know! I guess I just got lucky when I cleared out space
Ah, sweet! Never would have crossed my mind. Do you know what the character limit is?
