I’ll try to think of some and let you know tomorrow! Honestly when i hear music, nowadays i mostly have been getting into cool spanish stuff lol. But ill see if anything else in korean might that stands out might be worth looking into, i already have a few in mind.

  • Kim suyoung (김수영) (K-Indie,ballads) most notably her album “Behind” i haven’t hear much more of her stuff but she seems worth looking more into. Example song

  • Sole (쏠) (pop, K-indie) she dosen’t have any albums, pure singles but all of them are GOLD. very hyped on her music, very beautiful voice and good songs Example song

  • Stella Jang (스텔라장) (Pop, K-indie) Shes a great combination of a combination of tracks of pure pop, pure indie, english and korean both. Just super great all around and all of her albums have been great so far (the album “stella I” stands out. Example song

  • Jang Ki-Ha and the Faces (장기하와 얼굴들) (Alt-rock, Indie) super funky group with very interesting alternative music. One of the most interesting groups out there at the moment imo! Example Song

  • Autumn Vacation (가을방학) (K-indie) Lo~vely korean band. Beautiful vocals from the vocalist and fun chill songs with lovely lyrics. All of their albums are worth looking at! Example Song

  • Heize (헤이즈) (Rap,Pop, K-indie) she’s been one of my favs by far too, up there with Jang beom june for me in terms of enjoyment, started off as a rapper, got into alot of pop as a singer and in the latter part of her career just be~atiful songs that aren’t just intersting because of her lyrics or voice but the music styles have also been something that i haven’t seen alot of in the korean music scene! And if i had to recommend you one album in particular i would recommend the album “Happen” that’s probably my favorite album of 2022, i really thought highly of it. Example song

@MacDLaw Sorry if none of these compare to Jang Beom Jun, he’s probably my fav korean artist tbh lol, he’s just got so many songs that are gems.

My song of the day! Altho i haven’t been exactly consistent with the daily songs lol. Jong kook teamed up with Haha (individual artist) and Leessang’s Gary for a pretty cool song that mixes their styles!

Actually only saw Stella Jang and Heize coming, Heize might do it for me over Jang if I listen some more, or maybe the ones I dont know.

Also cool small descriptions and examples. I’ll be digging them on apple music through these weeks. Thanks I’m sure to find some a ton of bangers in the process, like back in the HFG thread i discovered a bunch of gold. That crazy armadillo rap just came back to haunt my thoughts today lol

I’ll make a post on the spanish music with some of my faves too, im sure you already like some of them

1 ill try to share some other k-oldies I remembered existed from the koren dancing game Pump It Up I used to play in the arcades
2 Ive checked a little of every artist you reccommended, stella’s voice had slipped under my radar, heize still dropping bop after bop, kiha some of the most creative music producing ive heard
