Yeah, sounds like a minimal sonic change, maybe rounding out any treble peak is the best I can gather, maybe more air? Who knows. I think everyone was hoping for a bit better bass extension, I could care less about its soundstage as Im more about imaging precision.

Basically you run them in parallel on the output, and it increases the current (and hence power) you can deliver (which is quite low per tube with that particular selection), and you get the added advantage that it drops the output impedance.
One tube in an OTL (assuming cathode follower) is going to be ~100 Ohms output impedance, 5 in parallel will be closer to 20.
We did discuss the amp on here when it was announced, if you like how Jason tunes his amps, it might be worth a look.

When I owned the MG I thought it would be awesome if they did the same for the Utopia (I’m fairly treble sensitive, especially around 6k).
We’ll soon find out.
