Will a fan like that introduce potential electrical noise or other problems? Iād assume potentially if implemented poorly but not sure if it would be substantial enough to have problems
At least they went with a Noctua, credit for that. I have some Noctua fans that have been running in various rigs for over a decade and theyāre still are flawless.
The bigger issue will just be the noise of moving air, I have a āsilentā fan in my server thatās 6ft away from me, itās setup, so it almost never runs. I can very clearly hear that when it starts and when it runs even with the other noise in my office.
Itās not terrible or anything, but I really would prefer to not listen to it.
I can also hear the data HD spin up when it comes out of suspend.
There are some fans that are pretty low impact. The phantek fans i had you really needed to get them up to speed and have an ear on the case. And the noise they made was much more pleasant than other fans.
I know people love noctua but i had to replace a dead water cooler and the noctua cpu cooler i used was by far the loudest thing in the computer.
Iām probably just overly sensitive to low volume noises, I can here the relay on my deep fat fryer click when it gets up to temperature 30 ft away while watching television. I also live in an incredibly quiet location, which probably heightens my sensitivity to ambient sounds.
Iām pretty sure the fan in the PC is a 120mm Noctua, itās very subtle, but I can hear the difference on to off, If Iām listening to audio equipment, I want the ambient noise floor as low as possible.
I dont blame you. Many houses have been passed on by me because of how āloudā ambient is but only I notice. I envy your overly quiet house. Its so calm and relaxing being in a quiet space.
I would say the same, except Iāve got 4 kidsā¦so only when theyāre at school or asleep
Four!! I knew youāre a busy dad, but for reason that hadnāt registered how busy. Go with God, my man!!
I honestly dont know how people manage kids. I am already worn and I couldnt imagine more of that then 4x over. Bless them though.
Since I come from a Mexican family growing up there were always (including me) tons of children running, screaming and crying around the house. Not to mention that we had a nanny and she took care of like 4 other children besides us. A quiet home is one of the luxuries we got after everyone grew up and our family generally became distant (most of us are homebodies) and I didnāt realize how thankful I am for it until I visited my friendās house and her kids were all running around screaming, husband too incredibly loud lol and the tv in the background. WAS CHAOS.
Point is, Iām very happy living in a very quiet household and I fear the day comes when it no longer is quiet.
I get your concern an agree with it conceptually but Iād still like to hear it. Many people have reported it being a non issue and a very capable hp amp. I also like the idea of having the monos and pre being matched.
Someone on this forum does have the soloist gt iircā¦forgot who it was though.
If that person sees this, would love to hear what you think of it on the burson thread.
Our block used to be quiet. The past few years everyone decided to get a loud exhausts on their cars and gun it from our corner stop sign, one kid rides his quad up and down the street with no muffler at 6pm, and the neighbors and their kidsā¦ Ill be inside, a/c on, windows closed, whole house between us and ill have people asking who is screaming on work calls. Like it sounds like they are being murdered and they just blast barbie girl on repeat.
Damn dude, that sucks. Is that one of the reasons you were trying real hard to find a new place to move into? Seems like that neighborhood went downhill bad. Barbie girl kind of holds up tho lol
Nah its because im 33 and have to get out of my house. Would of been out by now but, well, market.
Thatās fair lol. Hope u find a good place!
This is a woo amp? Very interesting
