Aqua dac thread, La Voce / La Scala / Formula xHD / LinQ

I could be misremembering but the Ethernet I2S on the aqua dacs uses a proprietary pinout and won’t work with a traditional I2SE output, you’ll need to get a crossover cable I believe that would swap pins, assuming it’s not entirely proprietary. I can’t recall if someone has made that work here, or if the pinout was posted, but it’s something to double check

Ah! Thanks for the information. Here’s me thinking that it was a simple case of flipping a dip switch or two on my SU-6…

I may move the IIS feed to a more medium term goal and just use it with AES for now. Happy to learn how to achieve the former if anyone has the knowledge.

The I2S on the AQUA’s is proprietary, I couildn’t find a pin out for it when I looked.
I’d be surprised given how popular I2S was at one point that if someone didn’t reverse engineer it to work with some of the more common streamers.

I2S just isn’t a standard, most people use the PS Audio pin outs, but not all of them and most manufacturers are only really interested in supporting their own streamers.
