anybody have experience with Kimber Axios? Wonder if this is a step up over the stock cable but not wanting to spend super conductor $.
I would jump on those for the audeze and atrium but 1.5m is short for my home use.
I know kimber is well regarded, but i dont have any experience with it and abyss cans. Just make sure that length works for you before buying. It is just under 5ft.
So unlike them to go with a wood design
I personally think they should have gone with a metal look. Fits their headphones a little better.
And i would have use the A logo somehow. Maybe as the neck of the stand. Incorporate the design of the A within it. Or the base.
bruh, they have to be memeing
It seems like they want to show theyre meme-ing, but they come off as even more haughty taughty.
“Sah-peeel-lay” give me a break.
I do think the design is pretty nice, i would have liked to see a bit more functionality in the base, maybe a wire or dap tray molded onto the top. If it was sub $200 maybe i would even try one. $500 is… a lot.
Holy shit, they left the cnc lines in the final product…
I do like the design, but $500 is too steep for me.
rofl. This is what did it for me tbh.
Are you talking about the top? Where the headphones sit?
Look at the big pics on the product page, it’s everything. Like they were making a prototype where you dont worry about those things but they just left them there.
@Hazi59 impressions?
Firstly, they aren’t itchy at all, which is a huge plus for me. Normally suede and velour causes me to itch or it gets snagged on my sideburns & beard. The Suede pads definitely gives the Diana a warmer tilt…treble is cut pretty noticeably, as are the upper mids. There is a slight improvement on bass extension as well. Everything is still clear sounding, but the dynamics, punch and impact feel a bit more restrained. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing at times though.
Soundstage sounds wider to the left and right, but I feel like I may be losing a bit of focus on the imaging in front of my face slightly above my head.
I am sure that some people will not like the sound of the suede. They do loosen things up a little bit. But, there are some positives too. The suede pads feel like they have the slightest bit larger opening/cavity compared to the leathers, which definitely helps for comfort a lot.
I prefer the leather pads overall, but the Suede are at worst a decent sounding and slightly more comfortable alternative, and a nice switch up.
We’ve talked about bass-porting the Diana earpads a bit in this thread, did anyone here put in an order for the Abyss-made ported earpads that they recently released?
may give myself some of these for my bday…
I wonder how close to the 1266 the Diana TC sounds with these since they have the exact same drivers.
A more comfortable and lighter 1266 sounds like a dream to me.
Wonder as well, although personally from my experience with the diana phi vs the 1266 phi with basically the same drivers, they’re still pretty different in a lot of aspects, the rest of the design definitely changes alot imo, so I’d still expect them to be fairly different
I bought a pair a few days ago. When ordering, they also have an option to include their new headband pad as well, which I said yes to. I have the original Diana V2 Leather pads, the new Leather Pads, and the Suede Pads…I might as well complete the set, lol.
Also, they aren’t in stock yet. Once in stock, they plan to send a shipping notification. Once I get them, ill share my impressions.
By testing the 1266 with different pad positions and seals, i concluded that the seal is what changes the sound the most, a Diana with a broken seal must be awesome! Breaking the seal transformed the HE6 for me big time.
