300B (grande diva) tube comparison

He told me he has no knowledge of anyone trying a TM on an Allnic before (among his customers).

Yeah a pretty good experience on my part.

Yes, i dont think he was being rude but moreso protective of where the limited supply goes to.

Interesting, also had some time ago a chat with Thomas about 300B-MO vs his “private” TM Edition and didnt recommended for my AN Meishu Tonmeister Silver Sig.

It is always good to have tube seller, who is developing high end tube gear. He knows what he is talking about. He has some serious 300b amps, but way out of my reach

Yes, he’s very adamant and cautious about some modern amps taking in different rectifiers like 5u4 or 274 or 5ar4. He says he doesn’t understand why a designer would do that as it’s not optimal to the circuit.

And that’s likely why you hear “many” reliability issues with Elrog on the Internet. I’m obviously not a designer so all I could do was take in the information. But I can see where he’s coming from, I wouldn’t want replacing tubes out of warranty often.

I think that is a sentiment many share and something I believe @Polygonhell also tends to align with. Tbh, i havent heard many amps but those built-for-purpose ones tend to be “better”.

As a builder I would agree just on the concept that less variables are better for easy use.
